Fenix TK11 Flashlight Review

January , 2009

So what makes a good duty flashlight? Brightness? Run time? Comfort and balance? Affordability? Well the Fenix TK-11 has it all.

The TK-11 takes either 2 CR123 batteries, producing 1.5 hours runtime at full power or an 18650 rechargeable battery producing 2.7 hours runtime at full power. If used in low power mode, you can acheive 10 hours and 12 hours respectively.

In full power mode the Fenix TK-11 will produce 225 lumens of output. Strong enough to illuminate a tree line at 150 yards during tests. Full power mode is a little strong indoors, but a simple twist and low power mode helps to keep the light from bouncing off walls. The TK-11 uses a smooth reflector, so indoors you can see the center hotspot ring, but unlike most other lights there are no dead spots.

The aluminum body with anti roll design makes this a very comfortable flashlight to hold. The tailcap switch is easy to use and enables quick activation of the light.

All in all, I felt the light outperforms the Streamlight Stinger and most other lights in its class. At an average price of $75.00 the Fenix TK11 is an excellent deal.
